THE RESCUE OF 17 SHETLAND PONIES FROM A NEGLECT CASE
18 Shetland ponies were discovered in a backyard in Sylmar, California with extremely long feet and neglectful conditions. They were seized by City of Los Angeles Department of Animal Services on May 6, 2010. The stallions were in with the mares. The ponies had not been handled by humans and were extremely wild. 4 of the 18 were easier to handle and 1 mare had to be euthanized. This is their story of rescue and of transport down to FalconRidge, where their new life will begin.
Please consider donating to help these ponies. They all need worming, dental work, 7 stallions need castration, vaccines, and feed.
